Being A Student Is A Full Time Job

Oh My. Well the past two days have been filled with school, and easy workouts and food have been scattered in between.  We had a meeting today about the process of applying for dietetic internships. I’m more nervous than I was before and that is saying a lot. There is just so much to do this year and I know the time is going to fly by. Currently I’m taking 3 classes and I’ve also started my thesis.  Next semester I have 4 classes and finishing my thesis.  I hold myself to some pretty high standards academically so it’s just so overwhelming right now. Alright, pity party over.

Some of my eats from yesterday and today:

  • Oats topped with a banana, Teddie unsalted p.b., and chia seeds



  • Pumpkin Muffin, Plain 0% Chobani, and an Apple (yup it’s a repeat offender)


  • Spinach, Red Bell Pepper, Mini Cuc, + Tuna/Bean Mix


  • Oats w/ pumpkin and banana mixed in, topped with Teddie unsalted p.b. and pumpkin pie spice (It was massive, I had to save half!)



  • Veggie burger on whole wheat sandwich thin + spinach + hummus and a small baked sweet potato (I was going to make sweet potato fries but didn’t have enough time!)



Now it’s time to warm up with a cup of tea and dive back into that crazy thing called schoolwork!

Is anybody else as overwhelmed right now as I am? Please tell me I’m not alone!!!

  2. That's not a dumb question!! I use Windows Live Writer now and it has a feature where you can insert a video from a webpage. :)

  3. I used to be the same way about school. I'm really hard on myself so I totally understand you being overwhelmed. You'll get through it though! I promise it'll all be over before you know it :)

  4. I'm the exact same way. Im such a perfectionist, so school always creates MASSIVE amounts of anxiety for me! I do my thesis next semester, but I am already dreading it! Hang in the girlie! =) Just remember everyone has to go through it, so you will survive! Everyone else did!

    i love mixing beans with my salmon or tuna!! it truly tastes so much more hearty and satisfying <3

    i hope things settle down and u feel much more at ease with the school work. its hard when we put pressure on ourselves to maintain the pressure we already feel from school and everything going on. hang in there, it'll get better XOXO

    Take a deep breath and try not to stress too much about school. I know, much easier said than done! I was the same way in college, and when I graduated my only wish was that I hadn't worried so much! Everything will come together as it's supposed too. :-)

  9. I was where you are a year ago! Taking a full courseload, writing my thesis, president of the graduate dietetic association, and applying for internships. It is definitely rough, but you can do it! The end is in sight! Good luck with everything! Also, I really think is super helpful when it comes to applying -- they have some great tips!
