Yesterday was a real day of summer. For breakfast I made it quick with 1/2 cup of plain 0% Chobani mixed with 1/2 cup of blueberries, a cup of coffee with Truvia and skim milk, and 1/2 a sandwich thin with Teddie unsalted smooth peanut butter.
Then it was off to church! I've been singing in my church choir since I was 13 and I love it. So whenever I come home I just jump right back in. I was in the women's choir at WPI but since graduating I haven't been involved in anything related to singing which is kind of sad. I miss it sometimes, but I usually sing along when I'm in my car alone to get my fix :)
After church I made a huge wrap for lunch but didn't quite finish it. In the mix was 1 low carb wheat wrap, 1 laughing cow cheese wedge, spinach, red bell pepper, and a leftover black bean burger.
I wanted to go to the lake but that never happened so I laid out by my green pool for an hour instead. Our pool is currently broken and it is very disappointed. Afterwards I jogged a quick mile on a broken treadmill (I'm seeing a trend here). The belt is loose and it makes you slip whenever you try to run. Probably not the safest choice of workout but it's cooler in the basement than outside so I made it short and sweet. Afternoon snack was a bowl of grapes, a tiny apricot, and a few cherries except the cherries ended up being old and gross so they didn't get eaten.
Then it was off to another BBQ! Time spent with family and friends is always great. There was music, horseshoes, food, and a bonfire! Starters included clams (which I did not eat - yuck) and mozzerella. We had a big assortment of food including grilled chicken, grilled zucchini, pasta salad, tossed salad, tuna macaroni salad, and corn on the cob. I had a little bit of everything of course. The corn turned out to be a little starchy and sticky but you never know that when you buy it. It got stuck all over my teeth when I tried to eat. Then later on in the evening I had a toasted marshmallow and 2 cookies!
A perfect end to the weekend......
mmmmm yogurt in the hot, humid morning is so refreshing!
